Flexibility:  Flextime - Sample Schedules

Flextime arrangements can:

Designate one fixed start time and end time that surrounds the designated core hours for the work day
Change start and end times at specific intervals, e.g., quarterly, depending on organizational needs and
   manager approval
Vary start and end times daily if the job allows
Flex at mid-day, allowing employees to extend the lunch period up to two hours, provided there is a minimum
   of 30 minutes for lunch

The key elements of a flextime arrangement are:
  STANDARD
WORK DAY
  CORE
HOURS
  FLEXTIME 
REQUESTS

Time during which normal service and functional operations must be available.  While the hours are typically X to X in North America, this may differ from office to office.

Time all employees are expected to be on the job unless specifically excused. At Our Company, core hours are X in North America. Core hours may differ from office to office.

Formal proposals are required if an employee's flextime hours start or end inside core hours, that is, if the employee will not be at the worksite for the complete duration of core hours.
