Flexibility:  Job Sharing

Job Sharing allows two people to occupy a full-time position, each typically working 50% time. Job Sharing enables full-time coverage of jobs and allows conditions like part-time for the job share partners.

Job sharing is one of the most overlooked arrangements in the flexible work arrangements toolkit. It offers managers a creative solution for employees who want to work less than a full-time schedule  in positions that cannot be easily reduced to part-time.  Job sharing provides complete coverage for a position and provides continued career participation at a reduced workload for employees.
