Flexibility:  Telecommuting - Succeeding

Telecommuters, do not want "out of sight" to become "out of mind."

As a Telecommuter you should:
maintain good relationships with your manager and co-workers
make the effort to stay as "visible" as you would be in the office
proactively seek out opportunities for development

As a Manager should:
continue to give telecommuters "stretch" assignments
provide telecommuters the same level of recognition as you provide employees who work on site full time
coach telecommuters about their job performance and opportunities

Other factors that can lead to telecommuting success follow.  Click on any item for detailed advice on that topic.
